entire group. 3) Your appearance may not exceed one minute. If you have narration or an audio tape accompanying your presentation, you must be sure to register as early as possible before the event, so that the organizers may have an opportunity to review and understand your special needs. 4) Costumes which have won awards at any previous DemiCon may be entered into the masquerade, but are not eligible for further awards. 5) Masquerade prizes will be awarded solely on the decision of the judges, which is final.
Thanks to the plethora of talented artists who take the time to share their work with us, the art show continues to be one of DemiCon's star attractions. Located at the end of downstairs meeting room facilities, the art show encompasses not just one, but three art rooms -- a large display area (Urbandale room), a print shop (San Francisco room), and an "artist workspace" (New York Room). All artists are invited to use the workspace during the convention, which will also be employed for scheduled art demonstrations.
Hours: Friday, 2-6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Rules: 1) All bags must be checked at the art room doors (we'll take good care of them); 2) No photography permitted in any of the art show facilities without express permission of the artists.
Voting: Help recognize the best of the best by voting for best individual work and best overall collection (both amateur and professional categories). Ballots available at the art show desk.
General Info. Items can be purchased in one of three ways -- via standard bidding, quick-sale, or the print shop.
