Breaking into the convention and costuming scene in 1981, Sandy and Pierre Pettinger, our Fan GoHs, have been a big hit ever since.
Well-known for their stunning stage presentations, these two create their costumes from every venue, including gaming universes, books, television and movies. Their first appearance on the DemiCon stage was in a Tanktanese wedding ensemble from the movie and TV series "Alien Nation".
But Pierre and Sandy's costuming far surpasses regional conventions and they took Best of Show at WorldCon in 1986 with their rendition of The Lords of Stability. They never miss Costume Con or WorldCon and often schedule three or four regional conventions every year. Costuming is their passion, and Pierre is currently president of the International Costumer's Guild.
