One of the minor headaches of con-going is finding a place to eat that suits your tastes. While far from complete, here is a list of eateries to get you started. The following list contains nearby (read: within one mile) establishments. Those of you who are from out-of-town, and are willing to drive a little farther for a more unique dining experience, ask for a more complete restaurant listing at the information desk.

Arby's, 4404 Merle Hay Road, 270-####. Fast food roast beef and chicken sandwiches. Follow Merle Hay Road south about four blocks; located on the west side of the road.

Baker's Square, 4107 Merle Hay Road, 276-####. Open late; breakfast, lunch, dinner, and, of course, good pie. Seven blocks south of the hotel on Merle Hay Road.

Burger King, 4950 Merle Hay Road, 270-####. Yep. Burgers. Walk one block north of the hotel.

Chinatown Restaurant, 6350 Douglas Avenue, 276-####. Mandarin and Cantonese cuisine. Follow Merle Hay Road south to Douglas, then right and go about four blocks.

Country Kitchen, 4875 Merle Hay Road, 276-####. Sandwiches, steaks, and chicken. It's right across the street from the hotel, guys; look both ways before crossing, OK?

Denny's, 4995 Merle Hay Road, 278-####. Open 24 hours; also right across the street.

Ember's, 4805 Merle Hay Road, 278-####. Also open 24 hours, and also just across the street. Decisions, decisions!

Felix and Oscar's, 4050 Merle Hay Road, 278-####. Deep dish pizza and submarine sandwiches. South on Merle Hay about eight blocks, in the Haymarket Mall shopping center.

Garcia's, 6116 Douglas, 270-####. Mexican cuisine in the moderate price range. Take Merle Hay Road south to Douglas, then right and go three blocks.

The Greenbrier, 5810 Merle Hay Road. "Fine Dining" (meaning expensive); seafood, steaks, prime rib. Ten blocks north of the HoJo's on Merle Hay Road.

The Ground Round, 4345 Merle Hay Road, 270-####. Moderately priced, typically American fare. Five blocks south of the HoJo's on Merle Ha Road.

Josiah's, 4800 Merle Hay Road, 276-####. They don't get much closer than this, guys — just walk past the art show room and turn right.

Marcella's, 4550 Merle Hay Road, 253-####. Italian specialties in the moderate- to expensive price range. Three blocks south of HoJo's on Merle Hay Road.

McDonald's, 4825 Merle Hay Road, 276-####. Once again, just across the street from the hotel.

Merle Hay Mall Food Court, Merle Hay Mall. Not a bad selection of qwikee-food joints, if you and your buddies can't agree on cuisine. J.D.'s Maid Rite, Arby's, Pizza Hut Express, Taco John's, Panda Chinese Food, and more. South on Merle Hay Road 'til you see the big mall on your right.

Perkin's, 4601 Merle Hay Road, 278-####. Sandwiches and specialty dinners. Open late. Two blocks south of the hotel.

Pizza Hut, 5715 Douglas Avenue, 276-####. Serves the expected fare. About ten blocks south on Merle Hay Road; across from Merle Hay Mall.

Seven Stars Restaurant, 6935 Douglas, 270-####. Middle Eastern specialties (Persian, Lebanese, Greek, Egyptian, jordanian, and Syrian). Go south on Merle Hay Road to Douglas, then turn right and go about eleven blocks.

Trophy's, I80/35 Merle Hay Road exit at the Holiday Inn, 278-####. If you're tired of eating at the hotel, why not eat at the hotel next door?

Village Inn, 4351 Merle Hay Road, 276-####. Another 24-hour pancake house. Five blocks south of the hotel.

Wendy's, 4935 Merle Hay Road, 270-####. More burgers, just across the street.
