DMSFS

Aye… 'tis an odd assortment of folk that make up the Des Moines Science Fiction Society (DMSFS). They like science fiction. They like fantasy. They like gaming. They like collecting spatulas. No, wait a minute… scratch that last item… ahem. They support the space program. They try to be an open-minded and tolerant lot. And, of course, they sponsor DemiCon.
As DemiCon only lasts for one weekend a year, however, they have to figure out a way to kill time during the other 51 weeks of the year. So, they get together on the second and fourth Fridays of each month, usually starting at around 8 p.m., to visit an have fun. They welcome everyone. They require no dues. They occasionally elect officers and give them silly titles.
If all of this sounds like your kind of strangeness, why not join them? For informations on the time and place of the next meeting, contact David Countryman evenings at (515) ###-####, or the famous Jeannette-and-Les information service at (515) ###-####.
So what are you waiting for? Make new friends… consume loads of nutritious microwave popcorn… learn exactly how many computers can be stuffed into one basement on New Year's Eve…
An odd assortment indeed.
