Game Room

Looking for a good swordfight? Or a rousing battle of wits? Try the DemiCon game rooms, located on the lower convention level. Both the Dallas and Board rooms will be open for general gaming activities during the following hours: Friday from 2-7 pm and 8 pm - Midnight (closed during opening ceremonies from 7 - 8 pm), Saturday from 10 am - Midnight, and Sunday from 10 am - 2 pm. The Board room will be closed during setup and teardown for the NetTrek tournament, which will be held from 10 am - 6 pm Saturday (for details on the NetTrek tournament, see page 18).
Gameroom space is somewhat limited, so our staff requests that you please be reasonable and polite if conditions become crowded. Any questions or problems should be directed to our guru of the gameroom, Alan Guile, or the current staff member on duty.

Filking

If you've got those "locked up in a con room for three days without a change of underwear" blues, then you need to know where our hard-core filking room is -- it's on the fifth floor, in a room whose number was not known as this book went to press. (Filking, for those of you who are first-time con goers, is the fhannish art of folk singing.) The room will be open all weekend, 24 hours a day; you may come and go as you please. There will be, however, no formal supervision by convention staff, so behave yourselves; maybe everyone ought to wait until after 9 p.m. before starting in on the racier stuff. (Nah!) If assistance from the convetion staff is required, and there isn't one of us caterwauling away with the group at the time, you can always find a helpful soul in the nearby ConSuite.
