Karen Boomgarden is living proof that there is truth to the rumor about TSR hiring only good-looking and charming ladies. Her work as an editor for the aforementioned institution includes such projects as The Forgotten Realms™ and the Marvel Super Heroes Advanced Set. She may have also narrowly missed having to work on the My Little Pony game.
Rob Chilson joins us from Kansas City, much to the delight of we ladies who have a taste for the cuddly sorts. However, don't mistake him for a mere "boy toy;" his writing talent is impressive. Along with his many short works published in Analog and Isaac Asimov's, he has written several excellent books, including an Isaac Asimov robot novel, and the more recent Men Like Rats.
Glen Cook is quieter than any author and book-huxter from St. Louis has a right to be. His reticence, however, does not spill over into his writing; from the fantasy of Black Company and Garrett Mystery series to the science fiction of The Dragon Never Sleeps, his body of works is immense and still growing. His latest, Dreams of Steel, a Black Company novel, should be available in the huxter's room as you read this.
David "Zeb" Cook just can't stop designing stuff for TSR. As senior game guru, Zeb has created such neat stuff as the Oriental Adventures, Indiana Jones game, and Star Frontiers. The credit for re-inventing the game of Mah Jhongg, however, should probably go to his wife Helen.
Robert C. Cornett is a volunteer fire fighter/paramedic and Beam's Choice field tester, yet still finds time in his busy schedule to write. Collaborating with Kevin Randle (see bio opposite page), the team has produced such works as those in the Fifty Million Years War series and the Vietnam: Ground Zero stories. If you see him, be sure to ask him why he isn't a former mountain climber.
