This year, DemiCon presents its first-ever "live-action" role playing event. In Dark Alliance, characters will pit their wits against unknown evils throughout the con. The plot involves a meeting of the minds between the vampires, mages, and werewolves to discover who has been killing off the powerful members of their ranks. Organizers would like to note that this event includes many familiar faces from the popular ICON role-playing party held last October. To register, look for the display near the registration desk or find someone sporting one of the lovely bronze ahnks.

Once again, DemiCon offers two costuming events for the price of one. The informal "hall costume" judging will take place **Friday night**. No advance registration is required — just wear your coolest duds and our "mystery judges" will find you.

The formal masquerade will be held Saturday night at 9 p.m. Preregistration is required, so pick up your entry for at the registration desk. Forms must be resubmitted at the registration desk no later that 45 minutes prior to the start of the event. The rules are simple, but important: 1) You must report to the masquerade organizers in costume by 8:30 p.m. Saturday evening. 2) An entry may consist of either a single individual or an entire group. 3) Your appearance may not exceed one minute. If you have narration or an audio tape accompanying your presentation, you must be sure to register as early as possible before the competition, so that the organizers may have an opportunity to review and understand your special needs. 4) Costumes which have won awards at any previous DemiCon may be entered into the masquerade, but are not eligible for further awards. 5) Masquerade prizes will be awarded solely on the decision of the judges, which are final.
